W.E. Gene Mattingly, has a combined 32-years of Department of Defense (DoD) and Industry experience, he is primarily focused on the DoD sector of business and bringing innovative solutions to complex problems and exceeding customer expectations.

Passionate about collaboration, highly energetic and enthusiastic, obsessed about customer success, Mr. Mattingly engages clients to bring value and build relationships that lead to mission accomplishment.

Prior to joining the defense contracting industry, Mr. Mattingly completed a distinguished 27-year United States Air Force service career and retired from active duty in 2013. He served in various leadership positions, to include CIO of an overseas major operating base. He served in many other diverse leadership roles in the Air Force at the Flight, Squadron, Group, Wing, and Major Command levels. In addition, he served more than 10-years in three Defense Agencies: Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, and the Defense Information Systems Agency. He had numerous deployments to include Chief, Communications and Information Systems (J6), North Atlantic Treaty Organization Training Mission, Baghdad, Iraq.

Mr. Mattingly has BS in Computer Information Systems, Strayer University; MA in Management, Webster University; and an MA in National Security Affairs (Homeland Defense/Security) with thesis (Titled: Domestic Nuclear Terrorism: Mitigating the Threat Through Technology), Naval Postgraduate School. He lives in Winchester, VA with his wife Missy, and together they have three children, Caleb, Gabby and Eli. Mr. Mattingly enjoys family time, being a USO and Red Cross volunteer, keeping fit, leading men’s ministry, and is a Jeep Wrangler enthusiast.
