December 14, 2009: AceInfo Partnered with Our Daily Bread: AceInfo believes it is important for our organization to give back to our community. This past holiday season we adopted a family for Thanksgiving and Christmas, working in partnership with Our Daily Bread. AceInfo employees generously donated to our adopted family of four. AceInfo matched these donations to provide the family with food, clothing, and gifts for the holidays.
October 10, 2009: AceInfo Awarded Human Resources and Pre-Employment Screening Schedule from GSA: GSA has awarded AceInfo GSA Schedule 738X, Human Resources Management and EEO Services. This schedule has an unlimited contract ceiling and affords Federal agencies a way to easily obtain comprehensive HR Services, including planning, recruitment, and internal placement; pre-employment screening and background investigations; position classifications; personnel actions; training; employee assistance; employee relations and outplacement. September 30, 2009: AceInfo President presented at an American Council of Technology Industry Advisory Council session: AceInfo President and CEO Jay Challa was selected to present at an American Council of Technology Industry Advisory Council session on September 30, 2009. His presentation, "Partnering for Success in Federal Government Contracting, A Small Business Perspective," was well-received and was ranked as most valuable by participants.
September 24, 2009: AceInfo awarded a 4-year contract from the U.S. Department of Commerce: AceInfo was awarded a 4-year extension on our Department of Commerce (DOC) National Telecommunications and Information Agency (NTIA) contract to provide project management and requirements management support for the NTIA CIO's project management office and the Federal Spectrum Management Systems (FSMS). AceInfo's support for the transition to FSMS will help change the enterprise of Federal spectrum management by incorporating improved business processes enabled by new technologies within NTIA's service oriented architecture, while integrating with and eventually retiring legacy applications. The project requires extensive coordination with Department of Defense and other federal agencies.
September 24, 2009: Help Desk Services Contract from the Transportation Security Administration: AceInfo was awarded a 5-year contract to provide help desk services for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Air Cargo systems. AceInfo's experienced help desk professionals will maintain, enhance, and support systems that interface with the nation's air cargo supply chain entities. The help desk support is important to TSA in retaining its partnerships and credibility with cargo shippers, as well as maintaining layered security in the air transportation system.
September 24, 2009: Contract to Perform Working Capital Fund Consulting Services: AceInfo was awarded a multiple year contract by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) to conduct baseline review, re-engineering and operation support of the agency's Working Capital Fund (WCF). The WCF is an effective funding mechanism to support central agency services. Led by AceInfo's Director of Strategic Management Consulting, Dr. Andrew Pavord, our team will develop a plan of action and new operating procedures to ensure USDA OCFO is leveraging WCF best practices, adhering to all recent changes in law and regulation, and achieving its fiscal responsibility objectives.
July 14, 2009: AceInfo Awarded USDA FAST Full and Open Task Order: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Services Agency (FSA) awarded AceInfo a 4-year Software Development task order as a result of a full and open competition under the Farm Applications Services and Technologies (FAST) IDIQ. AceInfo will provide software development and maintenance out of our Kansas City office to support Tobacco Transition Assessment Program (TTAP) Web applications using the Agile Unified Process (AUP) methodology. AceInfo will also apply our CMMI Level 3 methodologies and ensure knowledge transfer of best practices to government personnel.
July 14, 2009: AceInfo Headquarters Moved to New Office Space to Accommodate Growth: AceInfo headquarters moved to a new office space in June to accommodate our rapid growth of well over 50 percent per year over the last three years. The new office space houses corporate infrastructure functions (Business Development, Proposal Operations, Human Resources and Recruiting, Accounting, Contracts, and Quality Assurance) as well as project staff. June 23, 2009: Dr. Andrew Pavord Joined AceInfo as Director of the Strategic Management consulting practice: He brought to this position extensive experience in budget, performance management, and strategic planning. Dr. Pavord began his career in government as a senior policy analyst in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer for Washington, DC. In that position, he coordinated the analysis of the financial impact of the National Capital Revitalization Act. He was soon promoted to Associate Director for Budget Analysis and supervised the District's $6 billion operating budget. He was again promoted to Associate CFO and assigned responsibility for coordinating the activities of the District's agency CFO's. In 1999, Dr. Pavord became the Budget Officer for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and led the implementation of SBA's activity based costing system. He was later appointed as Senior Advisor to the SBA's Chief Operating Officer. In that capacity he redesigned the SBA's Performance and Accountability Report and implemented the "Execution Scorecard" performance management system. In 2003 Dr. Pavord joined Grant Thornton and managed public sector consulting engagements focused on budget, performance management, activity-based costing. In 2004 he was appointed Assistant Director in the Office of Performance Budgeting of the U.S. Department of Treasury. He was promoted to Deputy to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Headquarters Operations for the Department of Treasury. He received the Secretary's Honor Award for outstanding service to the Department of the Treasury. In 2008 Dr. Pavord became an advisor on performance management to the Assistant Secretary for Management and Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Pavord is a Lieutenant Colonel, Infantry, in the Virginia Army National Guard. He has deployed to Desert Storm (1991), Bosnia (2001-2) and Afghanistan (2004-5). He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Afghanistan. He earned a Masters Degree in economics from George Mason University in 1988 and a Ph.D. in political science from Johns Hopkins University in 1995.
May 28, 2009: AceInfo won ITSM project from National Finance Center: USDA National Finance Center awarded a contract to AceInfo to provide Remedy Information Technology Services Management (ITSM) 7.x service desk and change management migration and customization support. This is a 3 year single award project.
February 10, 2009: Lisa Pafe Joined AceInfo as Director of Corporate Development and Proposal Operations: Lisa Pafe brought over 20 years of experience in all aspects of management consulting, business development, and proposal writing and management. An active committee member of the Association for Proposal Management Professionals, Ms. Pafe has written and managed hundreds of winning proposals over the course of her career. Her subject matter expertise includes IT and business strategic planning, business process improvement, organizational change management, staff augmentation, and system development life cycle support, with specific consulting experience working with a variety of Federal, state and local government health, human services, transportation, energy, defense, veterans, and tax agencies. Prior to joining AceInfo as Director of Corporate Development and Proposal Operations, Ms. Pafe owned Vision Consulting, Inc., a consulting practice focused on helping clients win government business. Previously, Ms. Pafe was Vice President of Business Development for GovConnect, Inc. and also served as Director of Marketing Services for MAXIMUS, Inc. In both capacities, she created winning proposal centers and managed large proposal organizations with a focus on best practices, effective use of virtual proposal centers, and employee development and retention. Ms. Pafe holds a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University, a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University, and a Masters of Science in Information Systems from George Washington University.
February 9, 2009: AceInfo's Joint Venture received Notice to Proceed on Alliant SB Award: Alliant Alliance LLC, a Joint Venture with AceInfo as the managing partner received Notice to Proceed on GSA Alliant Small Business award, a $15B GWAC vehicle. AceInfo and its JV partner Information International Associates (IIa) are excited about their work on this vehicle.
January 27, 2009: Fairfax County Economic Development Authority Recognized AceInfo: AceInfo was honored and presented an award at 2009 Celebration of Northern Virginia Business Success sponsored by Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.
